This is a custom  design piece, which Adam himself is most likely wearing right now.

I love the challenge of making someone else's vision come into reality.   

The design of this pendant was concieved by a very dear friend and mentor, 

 therefore, it was particularly specialto be asked to create it.

The stone is a 3.50 carat 11 by 11mm trillion shaped Russian lab grown Alexandrite.

I only had a few of these.  I should have got more when I had the chance, they were stunning.  

The color change is truly spectacular in this gem, ranging from what you see here as almost that

deep blueberry blue of an AAA quality tanzanite, then changes in a play of color to a deep teal

blue/ green.  The stone draws your eye in, and Adam was right....it looks best set in the 14K gold

over brass.The prong seting that holds the stone in place is sterling silver, another design challenge.

 In person the white metal reflects the gold and the colors in the stone together creating an

unusual color arrangement.   Laboratory grown Alexandrite?  It's not an imitation, though it is man

made, Lab grown gems are still made of the chemical composition of the real thing....it's just grown

in a lab instead of in nature.  Like a long stem rose in a Florist's Shop, it's still a real rose.
