...I have never believed that we were meant to become what the world thinks we should be, but rather what your Spirit urges you to make of yourself, how else will you fulfill your destiny? It's not the mind that causes creativity, it speaks to us from somewhere deep within... I am a self-taught wire artist, who has been developing my own wire wrapping techniques for over 12 years. In the beginning, I would work for hours trying techniques with smooth tumbled stones like tiger eye and hematite. I think I must have broken every wire wrapping rule there is, and I still don't follow anyone else's diagrams or any "expert's" method. The pieces just "happen". This goes more for my Single Gemstone Pendants than for the more delicate gemstone chains I make by the mile....
About Bella Nova I started Bella Nova Jewelry on a shoestring with a few bits of wire and a handful of tumbled stone, no formal education, or business expertise. I probably broke every business education rule as well. I'm still learning as I go along....hey, we NEVER stop learning!
Monmouth County Festival of the Arts Show 2006
I have sold my work from my studio in New Jersey to half way across the country at just about every kind of venue starting with the Ocean Grove Flea Market, then some craft fairs, and alternative spirituality festivals. Then moved on to art shows, boutiques and galleries. My work is now being very successfully sold at The Main Ave. Galleria in Ocean Grove. This is where I put most of my energy these days, gearing up for and making inventory for the Summer season when Tourism in the town is overwhelming sometimes. Holiday Time is very busy there as well, with Victorian house tours, and much festivity.......It's about all I can do to keep up with replenishing the inventory there since I work alone.

I am forever grateful and bless those who did not believe in me, just as much as and if not even more than the ones who supported my vision. In this way, I learned to trust that the Universe would support my ambition and passion to create. I have been making jewelry for over 20 years now, seriously for 12 of those 20, and with all the ups and downs, successes and dissapointments, I still love what I do. When there is a shipment of supplies, especially the gemstones, I can't wait to open the box and see all the sparkle and color! Since I don't do my own cutting, I am amazed at the skill of a lapidary artist in the making of a perfectly cut jewel! Hours go by when I am making a piece, then all of a sudden the day turns to night...where did the time go? I was lost in the wonderful abyss of creativity. I believe when the muses speak to you in this way, one is blessed to know what "timelessness" means. | | About The Jewelry: Gemstones are held securely in swirling freeform style. Due to the nature of this wire bending style, many one of a kind pieces are born, and no two are ever quite alike. These are "signature" pieces that are unique among many other originals and wire wrapped work. Below are examples of what I call "tension setting" I also use prong settings with some of these, however, they are wired into the metal setting by what is called "cold connection" not soldered or glued.

~Stone And Hammered~ Each link is cold-Forged, hand formed with pliers and hammered on a small anvil to flatten in some areas. Chains start out as coiled wire, cut, shaped, tapered by hand into links, sometimes hammered and then polished to a brilliant shine.   
~HandCrafted Chain~ Elegant, light and airy! Delicate chains with Swarovski* crystal or gemstones are handcrafted link by link. My goal and philosophy is to offer my customers high quality unique jewelry that makes a statement without being overpriced, common, or mass produced. My interest in customer preferences have helped me to recognize what a quality I am always open to new ideas, and will often tailor my designs to accomodate your vision!
